when september ends (a retrospective of my month)
so it's the last day of the month (at least where i'm from) and i've just made this blog. which made me think, what better to make my first post than a review of everything that's happened to me this month? i've been having a good time recently, and a part of me wants to brag about it. i'll probably never make a post this lengthy again XP
on the first of the month, i went to a nearby salon with my mom and got highlights. pink, blue, violet, and green ones hidden in my dark hair. kind of like an oil spill or the chest feathers on a pigeon. colorful highlights had been something i'd thought about for a long time, i'd been walking around my room in circles thinking about what color/s i would get the days prior to this appointment and spent the previous night worrying they'd somehow fuck up my hair. thankfully, they didn't.
i actually had a very nice experience there _, a girl working there pointed out my madoka magica shirt and complimented my bag charms. two days later during a group video call, i would be called adventurous and creative for my hair. it really wasn't that unique of a style, i'd lurked on pinterest looking for references to show the stylist before and got lots of pictures i could use.
until the 19th, nothing too interesting would happen. my mom would take her bar exams on 3 days and i'd accompany her on the way to the venue on two, i would write something about a guy subtly yearning for his dead best friend (who i might share about) for the workshop i was participating in, get into penga / penguin jenga and get a high score of 96.2% on that "can you draw a perfect circle?" game that i've seen some streamers and youtubers play. my brother would catch me looking at buff dudes wearing cat ears on my phone.
i would leave home for 3 days (including when we left) to go on vacation on another island on the 19th. on the flight there, i would get these REALLY good salted caramel cookies and my brother would point at a random cloud and ask if it looked like that image of shinji ikari sitting with his head down or incredible gassy. i still have no idea what the fuck he was looking at.
i'd spend a good chunk of my vacation watching videos on some dude's youtube account and eating good food. we'd go island hopping on the second day, and i would hear a monkey crying after its (presumably) child was eaten by a snake. i wasn't there to see this happen on account of feeling incredibly weak, my mom and i would debate about whether the monkey we heard was a dog or a seagull. my brothers would tell us neither answers were right when they returned.
a storm had brewed right as we were about to go on our flight home. the visibility was scary low, i couldn't see anything outside the airport windows. some other travelers had their flights cancelled due to the weather, but ours thankfully wasn't. i was scared for my life and got worried the whole time we were in the air. lucky for us, the pilot was incredibly good and we didn't feel anything aside from some turbulence.
i would feel a bit sick after this, but would recover just in time for my cousin's debut on the 26th. it was a great party, and there was lots of yummy food and singing involved. it was barbie and pastel themed. i would be harassed by my brothers spouting brainrot at me and stealing my phone. a teacher i had back in fifth grade was also there, but she didn't recognize me at all (based off the fact that she didn't greet me like she would my siblings)
yesterday and today, i've been playtesting a game im looking forward to _ it's abyssfall seekers within, and so far im having fun! it's described as a grid-based rougelike rpg on the game's storepage.
