disasters

a few hours ago, a little after i made my first blog post on here really, a strong earthquake hit my neighborhood. my room is on the third floor of a tall house, so i really felt it hit.

it was scary. even though i'm no stranger to natural disasters, i still got scared, and i'll probably always be scared of them. i, and everyone else inside, ran out of the house once the shaking had stopped, afraid that the aftershocks would come quick and hard. i'd taken my precious phone, laptop, and charger with me.

my little brother was on the brink of tears as he held our little kitten named newton close, and even newton seemed scared, as my younger brother told me that the poor thing was shaking and that his heart seemed to be beating faster.

someone was injured at the city's night market since a lot of people there were panicking, which prompted a truck to pass by telling everyone to stay calm. i even heard that a small chapel collapsed because of the earthquake.

we went back inside after about an hour, and i'd found that, suprisingly, nothing had broken in my room. not even the glass perfume bottle that fell on the tiled floor. the only damage done was mental, as i had to rearrange a lot of stuff in my room since everything was misplaced.

apparently there's a tsunami coming soon, im not sure how strong it will be but i hope it's not too bad, since it'd be the 3rd disaster i'd have to deal with in the span of like 2 weeks
